Test File Builder:

To publish a braille table with Lib Louis, you will need to provide a test document, which is a YAML file. This document is used to ensure that Lib Louis is producing the desired braille that you are looking for. This YAML file needs to have two columns: the first one is a Print column, and the other is a Braille column. Niv Louie will build this file for you in a couple of easy steps.

In addition, this document will need to have a section with Meta Data. Niv Louie will automatically generate this section from the information which you put into the boxes when you created the project.

To build a Test File for Lib Louis, do the following:

  1. 1. You will need to build a spreadsheet that has 1 column. You should name that column “Text.”
  2. 2. Save that spreadsheet as a CSV file.
  3. Navigate to the Test Builder and open it.
  4. 3. Upload the CSV file that you want to create a test YAML.
  5. 4. Once the CSV file is uploaded, navigate to the combo box and choose the project you want. Select the project by pressing the Spacebar.
  6. 5. Navigate to the Create Test File button. Niv Louie will generate the YAML file with both Print and Braille columns.
  7. 6. A dialog box will pop up and expect you to name the file. Name it and press the Save button.
  8. The YAML file will automatically be downloaded to your downloads folder and will also be saved in your App Data/Niv Louie folder.
